Theresa S. Brewer "Gan"

Theresa Stevens Brewer, known to many as “Gan” was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was born in Portsmouth, VA., on April 24, 1935 to the late William R. Stevens, Sr., and Edith L. Dean. She graduated from I.C. Norcom High School in 1953. “Gan” loved the arts, enjoyed her puzzles, and working on her computer but her deepest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Allen M. Brewer, Sr., her son – Allen M. Brewer, Jr. (Kimberly); 3 daughters – Sharon Sheffield Brewer, Juanita Collins (Linwood), Toni Bowden; her brother – William R. Stevens, Jr.; her sister – Sylvia M. Dean and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As the Matriarch of our family, she will be greatly missed.
