Dereyon Marice Granger

Dereyon Marice Granger was born June 4, 2006 to LaTeka Rosenberg and Derek Granger, Sr., in Portsmouth, VA. He was educated in the Portsmouth Public School System and just completed the 9th grade at Woodrow Wilson High School (now Manor High School). He loved to football and his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, he was a fan of rap music. He attended church with his family at Grove Church in Portsmouth, VA., under the leadership of Dr. Melvin O. Marriner.

On Monday, August 2, 2021 Dereyon departed this life. He was preceded in death by his brother Ahmon Gregory and his maternal grandmother – Lanae Beamon. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents – LaTeka Rosenberg and Derek Granger Sr., his siblings – Derek Granger, Jr., Rocquan Alston, Rockem Alston, Daimen Brown, Nyasia Brown and Keyasia Brown; maternal grandfather – Ronald Rosenberg; paternal grandparents – Virginia Granger and Melvin Smith, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
