**WALK THROUGH VIEWING GUIDELINES:

Visitors are encouraged not to display signs of affection, such as hugging or kissing while inside of facilities to decrease spread of COVID19 virus. We are asking our guest to comply with guidelines such as facial coverings, temperature checks and limit visits to 3-5 minutes. Only 10 visitors are allowed at a time in the chapel during viewing hours. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Lee “Slick” Grant Booth Jr. was born October 24, 1927 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Lee Grant Booth Sr. and the late Hazel A. Booth. He graduated from I. C. Norcom High School in 1946. He worked and retired from the federal government. He proudly served in the United States Army for three (3) years.

He attended Elizabeth City State University, where he:

  • Was inducted into the Elizabeth City State University Sports Hall of Fame
  • Lettered in Football and Basketball
  • Four years as Starting Quarterback
  • Quarterback Championship
  • All Conference First Team Quarterback

 

He was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church in Portsmouth where he was a Sunday School teacher. He is a member of the I.C. Norcom Alumni Athletics and was inducted in the I.C. Norcom Athletic Hall of Fame. Lee G Booth Jr. departed this life the morning of November 4, 2020.

 

Lee G Booth Jr. is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 68 years, Ethel Lee Booth. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many godchildren including Desiree Morse and Mark Smith and extended family.
