Kenneth Wayne Davis

Kenneth W. “Kenny” Davis of Portsmouth, VA, quietly passed away on August 17, 2020. Kenny was a graduate of the 1973 class of Manor High School in Portsmouth and attended Norfolk State University before enlisting in the Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army Kenny pursued a career with SPSA as a crane operator, retiring after 30 years of service. But, of course Kenny was not ready to throw in the towel, so he began a second career working at Wheelabrator Technologies for 5 years, where he was employed at the time of his passing.

Anyone who knows Kenny, knows that he always had a tremendous love for his family. He also loved martial arts where he became a black belt during his adolescent years. An avid fan of vintage cars and carpentry, he loved building things. Kenny was born in Asbury Park New Jersey in 1954 and was predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary E. Davis. He is survived by his fiancé, Jeanette Jordan and his daughter Ladonna Strawbridge; a sister, Julie Murphy of Jacksonville, Florida and two brothers, Robert “Ton” Davis, (Pam) of Joplin, Missouri and Keith Davis of Portsmouth. Fond memories of Kenny will be remembered and shared with a host of family and friends.
