Evelyn E. Goode

Mrs. Evelyn Evonne Council-Goode was born to the late Daniel and Mary Jones- Council on December 27, 1943 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. She entered her eternal peace on November 25, 2019. Evelyn attended I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, Virginia and retired from the Portsmouth Public System. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. Evelyn was very passionate about her relationship with Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, James T. Goode; a son Gregory Randall; two brothers, Daniel Council Jr., Edgar E. Council; and one sister, Eula Pearl Booth. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Arnie Randall (Jackie) and Clarence H. Randall (Michelle); one daughter, Karen Jackson (Timothy); three grandsons, three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters and three siblings, Nannie L. Jennings, Cornelia Jones and Henry Jerome Council (Francine); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
