Ms. Massenburg accepted Christ at an early age and God lead her to Rhema Christian Center which is currently Mountain Moving Faith Outreach Ministries where she was a member for 30 years. She was committed to several ministries which included the choir, the Deaconess Board, Evangelistic Team, Dorcus Circle, Alter Counselor, and a powerful Prayer Warrior along with her longtime sisters in Christ Clemintene Williams, Deloris Holman, and Clara Jacobs. They were affectionally known as the Golden Girls.
Ms. Massenburg worked in the nursing field where she enjoyed caring for patients and assisting them with anything they needed. She retired from the Veteran Affairs in Hampton, VA at the age of 62. There after she started private duty nursing and continued her profession until her health started to decline. She loved family gatherings. She always put forth an effort to encourage family members and friends to keep God first in their lives. She was a great supporter to the children in church when they participated in activities and accomplished any goal whether it was large or small.
