Gladys W. Turner

Gladys Williams Turner, 92, departed this life on August 20, 2018 at Maryview Medical Center.  She was born in Capron, VA to the late Frank Williams and Nettie P. Wyche Williams.  She retired from the City of Chesapeake after 23 years of service.

She was predeceased by her husband Jesse E. Turner; sisters, Jennie Turner and Jean Barrett DeLoatch; and two brothers, Samuel Williams and James Williams.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Gayle Bly (Hurlen) and Pamela Turner both of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Patrice Noyan (Neville) and Patrina Highsmith (Clarence) both of Portsmouth; three great grandchildren, Isaac, Christian and Iris Noyan; sisters-in-law, Esmond Lambert of Portsmouth and Doretha Lassiter of Chesapeake; great aunt, Lena Clark of Hampton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 1 pm to 8 pm at Corprew Funeral Home.  A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, 11:30 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3920 Airline Blvd. Chesapeake, VA  23321.
