Hilton D. Horne

Hilton D. Horne, 63, affectionately known as “O.G. Hilton,” departed this life on July 28, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Louis Bell and Anna Lee Horne Roots.  Hilton was a construction worker for 18 years and was also employed as a cook at Waffle House.

 He was preceded in death by a son, Antony Max Stevenson.

 He leaves to cherish his memory: his spouse, Mable Todd; one daughter, Cora Todd; two sons, Jontae Stevenson and Maxwell Horne; four sisters, Vanzola Roots, Demitria Davis, Danetta Lawrence and Denise Johnson; two brothers, Terry Roots and Glenwood Roots; eleven grandchildren, Antony Styles, Tyrie Hill, Amarian Stevenson, Jar’Quale Todd, Ja’Ontae Todd, Shyheim Seaborn, Antonio Kingsbur, SirSevyn Kingsbur, DeAntonisha Hill and Dy’Nahsty Todd; one great grandchild, Kori Joyce Styles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, among them a special niece, Trina Roots.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 9th from noon to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018, 11 am at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA  23704.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, VA.
