Reginald K. Holmes

Reginald K. Holmes departed this life on July 18, 2018.  He was born December 9, 1959 in Baltimore, MD to the late Camilla Holmes-Barbara.  He was educated in Norfolk, VA and was a graduate of Norview High School.  He joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church many years ago where he remained a faithful member serving on the Trustee Ministry, Bus Ministry, and the Men’s Fellowship Sunday School.  Reginald retired from Norfolk Public Schools.

He was predeceased by one brother, Brian Holmes.  He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 26 years, Pearlie Holmes; daughter, Marqurita Waddler-Holmes; son, Bacardi Wright; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Ricky Holmes, Ronald Quarrles, Milton “Peanut” Mitchell, Derrick Holmes; sisters-in-law, Margaret Miller, Marion Barnes; aunts, Etheleen Holmes, Sylvia Logan, Lercine Holmes; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018, 11 am at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 3310 Deep Creek Blvd., Portsmouth, VA  23702.
