Prince A. Monk, Jr.

Prince Albert Monk, Jr., AKA, Cool Breeze, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.  He was born on June 5, 1952, in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Prince and Hattie P. Monk.

Prince Monk served Christ at an early age and attended First Church of Deliverance.  He attended Portsmouth Public Schools and throughout his life, he worked as a Roofer and for Parks and Recreation Department.

Cool Breeze enjoyed hanging out with friends, music, cooking and watching television.  He leaves to cherish his memory, 3 sisters, Ernestine Jackson (Roy) of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Carrie Monk, Pearlie Monk Vaughan; 3 brothers, Irvin Monk, Donnie Monk, and Cornelius Monk all of Portsmouth, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by Ethel McCray, Readell Monk Bell and Sheldon Eric Monk.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, 11 am at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA  23704,
