Donald Woods

On January 28, 2018, God called the beloved Donald Woods home.  Donald was born on February 14, 1964 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Mr. Alexander and Mrs. Janie B. Woods.

He was a graduate of Manor High School.  He was a well-known Cavalier Manor resident for years and well-liked in the community.  Donald was a hardworking construction worker, who was known for cutting grass and washing cars throughout the Cavalier Manor neighborhood.  He also loved cutting hair.

Donald, the youngest of 7 children, was preceded in death by three siblings, George Woods, Geraldine Collins, and Madeline Logan.

He leaves behind: his loving wife, Evelyn Woods; 2 step-sons, Demetri Benson of Houston, Texas, and Earl Benson of Prince George, VA; one loving grandson, Elijah L. Benson; siblings, Larry Woods, Rosalind Ruffin (James), and Tony Woods (Dalita); one sister-in-law, Karen Woods; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held at Corprew Funeral Home on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 12 Noon to 8 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018, 10 am at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA  23704.
