Bobby C. Henry

Bobby Carletus Henry, affectionately known as “Bobby C” crossed into the pearly gates of Heaven on January 6, 2018.  He is predeceased by both of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Clem and Willie Edith Henry and his brother Fred Henry.

He retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was very proud to have served his country for over 23 years.  He was a man of God who imparted the love of Jesus Christ upon his family and shared the Good News of the Lord with all those who crossed his path.

He is survived by his loyal and devoted wife, Robbi; and children Robert Henry (Shannon) of Portsmouth, VA; Kris Burge (Aaron) of New York, NY; Rikeal Burge (Shawn) of Carrollton, VA; one grandson Elijah Henry and two granddaughters Nicole Henry and Kamryn Dancy; and siblings Betty, Norma, Clementine, Dorothy, Jaqueline, Clem III and Mary.

Bobby C was a leader in thought, word and actions.  A family man, he dedicated himself to helping others and guiding them along their paths.  He took pride in his culinary abilities and used every opportunity to not only feed the bodies of those around him, but shared his joy and wisdom to also feed their souls.

The viewing will be on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 12 Noon to 8pm at Corprew Funeral Home. The homegoing service will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11 am at Victory Living Word Church, 442 Jamestown Avenue, Portsmouth, VA 23704.
