Jessie M. Murphy, 93, departed this life on June 4, 2017 at her residence. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 12 Noon to 8 pm at the funeral home.   A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017, 11 am, at New Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1000 County Street, Portsmouth, VA  23704.  Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA  23321.
