Chanquanda Odom

Chaquanda L. Odom, a radiant light in the lives of many, passed away January 3, 2025. Born on August 19, 1988, in Williston , South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of Christine and Charles Odom.

Chaquanda lived with determination and purpose, graduating from Landstown High School before earning her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree from Liberty University. As a Board-Certified Mental Health professional, she dedicated her career to the Maryland Behavior and Mental Health Center, tirelessly working to improve the lives of children and families.

Her passions extended beyond her career. Chaquanda found joy in sports, traveling and celebrating life’s moments. Most of all, she cherished her role as a devoted mother to her two children,JD and Journee, who were the center of her world.

She survived by her loving parents, Christine and Charles, and her beautiful children, JD and Journee. Chaquanda, kindness, compassion, and vibrant spirit leave an everlasting mark on all who knew her. May her memory continue to inspire love and strength in those she touched. Rest peacefully Chaquanda-you will forever shine in our hearts.
