Jerline Mildred Funney

**In Loving Memory of Jerline Funney**
February 18, 1959 – September 21, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerline Funney, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on September 21, 2024. Jerline was born in Portsmouth, VA, where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School before going on to graduate from Norfolk State University.

She was the cherished mother of Yvette and Charleatta “Char” Funney, and the proud grandmother of six adoring grandchildren, Jaquez and Jamiyah Funney, Trevonna and Tremond Davis, and Jordan-Isaiah and Jada-Noel Moody.

Preceded in death by her loving parents, Eddie and Beulah Funney, Jerline leaves behind a legacy of resilience. Her smile, infectious laugh, and unfiltered wittiness will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held on October 5, 2024, at 2 P.M, at Corprew Funeral Home in Portsmouth, VA. We invite all those who knew and loved Jerline to join us in remembering her life and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
