Betty Parker

In Loving Memory
Betty Ann (Williams) Parker was the second youngest of 14 children born to the late Jack and Ethel Mae (Smith) Williams in Portsmouth, Virginia on July 20, 1956. Betty was called home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2024.

Betty was baptized at Third Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia as a young child. Betty attended Portsmouth Public Schools. She later received her GED. Betty worked in the Portsmouth Public Schools then later worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a contractor driving clients around and picking them up, which she loved driving the van.

Betty was married to Jimmy Parker (deceased). She later met the love of her life Mr. William Rick (Buck). She had four children Latrice, Maurice, Tremaine and Ahad. (deceased)

Betty was preceded in death by her 8 brothers Jacob, Joseph, Fredrick, Roger, Jack Jr., Sherman, Moses, James Floyd and 2 sisters Bernice Munford and Mildred Green.

Betty loved her family, her children, grandchildren, especially Anna who preceded her in death August 2023 tragically and her friends. Betty knew everybody in Portsmouth, Ida Barbour and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Betty loved driving her car and playing the lottery. She loved to dress in matching outfits. She also loved to style her beautiful long black hair. She loved to cook for her family making home cooked turkey wings, fried cabbages and mac and cheese. She would feed anyone that was hungry. She loved receiving money and gifts from everyone. Betty will be surely missed by all that met her. Betty leaves her precious memories to daughter Latrice, sons Maurice (caregiver) Tremaine of Portsmouth, Va. and Ahad (deceased) William (Buck), 10 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren, sisters Nancy Hall (John) Philadelphia Pa, Rosa Eure (Caregiver) Portsmouth, Va. and brother Johnnie Williams Portsmouth, Va. host of special nieces, nephews cousins and friends, special childhood friends Deboran Williams, Annette Morgan (caregiver) sister in law Pamela James of North Carolina, Katie Goodwin of Philadelphia, Pa. and April Hill of Portsmouth, Va
