Odell A. Cromwell Bray

Odell Amelia Cromwell Bray Restfully on Thursday night May 2, 2024. God Almighty sent fourth His angel to earth to bring our beloved Odell Ameila Cromwell Bray. She was affectionately known by family as “Sister and Dee” to dear loved ones! She was born on July 24, 1953, to the (late) James Edward Cromwell and Fannie Freeman Cromwell in Portsmouth, VA. Odell had a strong faith in the Lord! She was a product of Portsmouth Public Schools. She graduated from Cradock High School in the Class of 1972. She graduated from Norfolk State University Class of 1977 with a degree in Liberal Arts as a Political Science Major. Odell received an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Law from Centura College December 4, 2008. She worked tirelessly in Norfolk and Portsmouth Public Schools. Leaving to cherish her loving memories, beloved mother Fannie, sister Carol (James), children Tamar, Shalirmar, Omar (Regina) and Rae’Mar. She had eight beloved grandchildren, Jasmine (Rodney), Emmanuel, Rae’mari, Na’Kortaz, Na’Korta’, Ona, Rae’oni and Sha’mari. She was blessed to see two beloved great-children, Jailyn and Jace. Odell’s family will receive family and friends at 628 Lake Shore Drive, Portsmouth VA 23704 on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
