Taniiah D. Lewis

During the morning hours of Sunday, April 28, 2024, God sent of His Angels to bring TANIIAH DEMAE LEWIS to his Heavenly Home at the age of 23 years. A native of Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of Floyd Lewis and Tanecia Newman.
Taniiah grew up in Virginia Beach and was known to her family and friends and as fun, loving, super intelligent, and unapologetically individualistic.

Taniiah was preceded by her father, Floyd H. Lewis. Those left to reflect upon her memory are a loving and devoted mother, Tanecia Newman; special younger sister, Tamerah Newman; devoted grandmother, Alvia Cabbler Rouson; loving grandpa, Albert Ray Rouson; loving uncle, Eugene Newman, loving aunts Brittany Newman and Taylor Cabbler, all of Virginia Beach.

Her loving paternal grandparents Hortense and Donald Lewis; special aunts, Jurine Lewis, Yvette Sawyers-Ortiz, all of Homestead, FL, special aunt, Elease Sawyers of Chicago, IL; caring uncle, Clyde Lewis of Raleigh, NC; loving big sister, Chauntae Casey, adoring nieces, Aubriana Casey and Za’Rielle Morton and nephew, D’Andrew Morton Jr., all of Roanoke.

There’s a host of cousins, grand aunts and uncles; and many many more special acquaintances and loved ones, too numerous to name.
