Willie Boone Sr.

On November 12, 2023, our beloved Willie Boone Sr, 81, departed this life asleep at home. He was born March 16, 1942, to the late Vernie Boone Sr. and Leola Parker Boone. Willie Boone Sr. was predeceased by his sisters Laura Lee Beale, Joyce Jones, Gladys Holloway, Alma Mitchell and Rebecca Grant, and brothers Vernie “June” Boone, and William “Bean” Boone.

Boone Sr. was from Newsome, VA and lived in Chesapeake, VA as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; he always wanted to leave a legacy for his children and grandchildren. He worked for many years at Seaward Marine Services, LLC in Norfolk, VA as a Diver, and Tugboat Captain. Boone loved people, he loved adventure, he was a man of great wisdom and most of all he loved his family. He always told his children how much they were loved and appreciated. He would always end his calls with “You know I’m proud of you.” He was able to accomplish a lot; he owned a business, Silver Star LLC, for years. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and sharing his stories with friends.

Boone leaves to cherish his memory to beautiful, amazing wife Linda M. (Everett) Boone of over 63 years; his children, Donna Bibbs, Angelia Stewart (Paul), Wilhemina Boone, Willie Boone Jr, Rodney Boone Sr, (Stephanie), Peggy Williams (Ervin), Adrian Ivy, Vernon Boone, and Sheritta Boone (Devine), his sister Marion Boone, and his brother Lee Moses Boone (Helena) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and relatives (Boone, Beale, Porter, and Walker) families from Franklin, VA.
