It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our beloved sister, Angela Cherida
Drummond. Angie, as we lovingly called her, gained her wings on October 8, 2023, at the
youthful age of 44.
A proud 1998 graduate of I.C. Norcom High School, Angie was born in Portsmouth, VA, and
grew up in Cavalier Manor with her parents, Robert and Mary Williams, and 8 of her
siblings. She was a cute, little, skinny-legged girl with pigtails, who grew up to be a strong,
beautiful, assertive woman, who loved Fashion and had a passion for wig-making. Angie
also loved food and sweets, and was always ready for a good meal or a Krispy Kreme
donut!
Angie worked at QVC for 18 years. Although, she was a homebody who loved working from
home, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Anyone who knew her
knew she had a kind, gentle, fun-loving spirit, and was always there to lift others up in their
times of trouble. She was also a strong woman of faith and a devoted member of the Vision
Life Skill and Worship Center.
We can never prepare for the unexpected loss of someone so dear, but we are comforted
knowing Angie is in good company. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and
her parents, Robert and Mary Williams. She leaves to mourn, her siblings: Tamara
Drummond of Cherry Hill, NJ, Robin R. Williams of Chesapeake, VA, Sheila Williams of
Raleigh, NC, Kenneth Williams (Nia) of Covington, GA, Christopher Williams (Makeesha) of
Suffolk, VA, Anthony Williams (Sonya) of Suffolk, VA, Danielle Merritt-Williams of
Chesapeake, VA, Sabrina Bowser (Josh) of Portsmouth, VA, and Freddie Drummond
(Phyllish) of Norfolk, VA; her aunt Terry Sawyer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends.
We love you forever Angela… until we meet again, we will carry our memories of you in our
hearts!
