Ernestine A. Daughtry Ernestine Daughtry, daughter of the late Willie and Mary Arnold was born on July 27, 1951. Lovingly known as Tina, she was the oldest daughter of 11 children. Ernestine was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Willie Arnold. At an early age, Tina accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She and her husband, William B. Frost Sr (predeceased), welcomed their only son, William B. Frost Jr. (June) on October 29, 1968. She was an amazingly devoted wife and mother. Although widowed, Tina loved and trusted the Lord’s Purpose and Will with all of her heart. She prided herself on reading the Bible in its entirety numerous times. She was a faithfully tithing member of Emmanuel True Holiness Church of Portsmouth, Virginia, Pastor Robert Wint, presiding. Tina attended Crestwood High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, and continued her education through Chesapeake Public Schools. She was a caregiver for her grandparents and had a list of employment from Portsmouth General Hospital, Moose Lodge, and General Foam. She retired from Walmart, providing 13 years of committed service. Over the years, she found love again with her husband, Robert Daughtry (predeceased) and served as a devoted wife through and after his transition to the heavenly realm, awaiting Christ’s return. Tina succumbed to heavenly peace on July 30, 2023 in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Tina is survived by her loving and devoted son, William Frost Jr. “June” (Angelle); grandson, William Frost III“Tre” (Trina); granddaughter , Aunjale’ Frost “Teena” (Christopher), and great-granddaughter Layla Frost. She also leaves behind five sisters. Mary Tucker (Vincent); Lillian Lawrimore; Kimberly Arnold, Starr Peete (Rupert); and Brittany Arnold; six brothers William Arnold (Savannah); Leslie Arnold; Donald Alexander (Cheryl); Ronald Alexander (Theresa); Antonio Arnold (Keisha); and Lamont Arnold. Her sister, Mary Tucker, and niece Shekida Spruill, consistently stayed by her son’s and her side during her transition. She retires behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family, and friends. |
