John David Feracho was born on June 27,1940 to the late Victor and
Geraldine Feracho in San Fernando General Hospital,Trinidad and Tobago.
He was the 6th child out of the union of his parents. His siblings include
Joyce(deceased),Lucy(deceased),Edna(deceased),Ena(deceased), Alvin,
Orlando(deceased),Desmond(Sam),Victor, Eileen, Thora, and
Godfrey(deceased). He was known as “KiKi” from a young age growing up
on Matapal Street, Morvant where he attended St. Dominic RC School and
Morvant EC Secondary School. While living in Trinidad, he worked at The
Caribbean Centre in Port of Spain as a lab technician. He was also an
insurance salesman for Colonial Life.
John migrated to The United States in the early 1980s where he was
self-employed. He then became a security guard for the Kianga House
which assisted hundreds of families in obtaining permanent housing and
treated everyone with love and respect.
John was a man that knew and loved the Lord and was very spiritual. He
exhibited those qualities by going out of his way doing whatever he could to
help others and overly expressed his love to family and friends.
He enjoyed cooking and often said he got his skills from his father who
baked cakes “Like a Boss”. His love for his family ran deeply and it was
reciprocated.
John’s first wife was the late Noreen Joseph, followed by the late Gloria
Nelson and survived by Amelda Bailey-Feracho. He fathered Dona
Bain-Lynch(deceased), Joella Feracho, Cheryl-Ann Steele,Marlon
Steele(deceased), Judy Gordon, Ariella Feracho, Gabriella
Feracho-Seymour, Joel Feracho and Nadia Feracho. Stepdaughters- Leah
and Dana Bailey. Son in Law Louis Sherwood(deceased), Kwame
Corridon, Mark Seymour, Son and daughter in love Trevor and Wanda. 13
Grandchildren- Kwesi, Kwame,Cheon,Bridget,Jade,Heather, Kalani,
Brianna, Kaia, Ryan, Jaylen,Jordan,Olivia and Kymani- (one on the way)
Great Grandchildren- Kwaseem, Kylee, Aiden, Hailey and Zuri.
