Jacqueline Benton Elliott of 3511 Blaze Ct., Suffolk, VA, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Jackie, as she was lovingly called by family and friends, was a native of Portsmouth, VA. She graduated from I.C. Norcom High School, and she also studied at Norfolk State University. She retired from the Chesapeake Public School System where she worked for 16 years. She was a member of Zion Bethel UCC in Portsmouth for many years where she served on the Usher Board and the Social Services Ministries.
Survivors include one daughter-Rhonda N. Elliott (Kenneth L. Sasser, Sr.); three sons-James M. Elliott, Jr., Anthony L. Elliott and Michael L. Elliott; one brother-Boris B. Benton (Katie); on brother-in-law-Samuel V. Elliott; two sisters-in-law-Thelma L. Elliott and Margaret C. Ransom; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jackie was predeceased by her husband-James Melivn Elliott, Sr. and daughter Evanti V. Collins.
