Ruth V. Stith

Ruth Vernell Stith was born October 2, 1946, to Mary Frances Hobbs in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Ruth passed away peacefully on December 29,2022, at Norfolk General Hospital.

Ruth attended Chesapeake Public Schools and was a graduate of Crestwood High School.  She was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard where she retired.  In 1987, Ruth married Charles Stith and was with him until she passed.  After retiring from NNSY, she later took on a part time job at Kroger in the Deli.  She was known for her sweet personality and her love for people.  Ruth loved her family and was a favorite niece of her late Aunt Mabel Lewis until she was called home.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hobbs and son Melvin Frost.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Brena Frost and a son Daryl Roberts (Alexis Blake) all of Chesapeake; a daughter in law-Stephanie Frost; grandchildren-Lydia Frost, Latrice Frost, Christian Harris, Nicholas Frost, Daryl McCall, Tyreik Jackson and Raquan Smith; great grandchildren-Akeelah, Zoey, Grace, Faith and Gabriella.
