Ronnie D. Monroe

Ronnie Monroe, 69, of Portsmouth, departed this life on November 5, 2022, at his home. He was born to the late Howard Monroe and Irene Vivan Sciven Monroe.

Ronnie graduated from Churchland High School, Class of 1973, and worked at the Newport News Shipyard for over 31 years.  He was married to the late Vicki Davis Monroe.  Ronnie was also a member of the USBC Virginia Peninsula Bowling League.  He enjoyed eating, traveling and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brothers-Alphonso, Carlton and Elbert (Barbara).

Left to cherish his memories are his children-Sabrina Monroe, Keisha Monroe Smith and Keith Monroe (Ebony); grandchildren-Tevin Monroe, Makayla Smith, Keith Monroe, Jr., and Deja Willis; one brother- Thomas Monroe (Pat); two sisters-Cynthia Barnes and Joanne McGhee (Raleigh) and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
