Percy Blake, Jr.

Percy Blake Jr., 83, was born June 23, 1939 to Annie and Percy Blake Sr. in Norfolk County VA. He passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 10, 2022 in Suffolk VA

Percy attended Crestwood High School in the 1950s. Then went on to work as a self employed brick mason. He sang in the senior choir and ushered for many years at Holy Light Church of Deliverance. He participated in the Senior Track and Field games in Portsmouth and Chesapeake VA for more than 8 years and received over 150 medals for being in the top 3 each year. He enjoyed watching golf on TV,  making flower arrangements, walking, and riding around in his truck

He was predeceased by his grandfather Listes Bowser, grandmother Mary Whitehead Bowser, mother Annie Bowser Blake, father Percy Blake Sr. and wife Maggie Odell Blake. He leaves behind his 5 children Percy (Melody) Blake, Sherri (John) Spearman, Dwain Blake, Consevella Blake, and Karren (Robert) Lathan

He was loved and will be missed by many family and friends, including his 9 Grand Children Shannon (Dion) Brooks, Shevon (Jessie) Williams, Ricky Blake, Dion Blake, Deja Lathan, Alexis Blake, John Spearman, Robert Lathan III, Yasmin Lathan; 12 Great Grand Children Dionna, Dion Jr., Dineem, Sherae, Dioz, Sherian, Zaidan, Jayden, Angel, Rome, A’briella, Alayah; 3 Great Great Grand Children Karmlo, Tayson, and Prince
