Iola Diana Plummer (Dianne or Auntie D) was born on October 14, 1956. She was called home on December 30, 2021.
Dianne was a long-time resident of Portsmouth where she was educated. Dianee worked in Law Enforcement, she then worked in the Hotel Industry until her retirement. Dianne loved her family and was known as “Auntie D” to the neighborhood. She took care of everyone, and she was loved. She was a no nonsense take no mess kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. Dianne loved singing Whitney Houston and Patti LaBelle songs. She lived her life like one of her Whitney songs, “Step by Step”.
Dianne leaves behind to cherish her memory one son-Antonio (Tony) Plummer; a granddaughter-Zania Smith; a great-nephew (son) Jacyion Blankenship; one brother-William Plummer. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends. Dianne will be missed and forever loved. |
