On Friday, April 9, 2021, God called our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and loved one into his eternal rest. He was affectionately called “Nook” by his family and others who knew him. He was born to the late Mr. Willie Edward Arnold, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Arnold. During his lifetime, Nook attended Deep Creek High School. He was employed by Southern
State for several years, worked in Washington State, and Mrs. Smith Pie Company.

Nook loved his family. He was quick witted, a snappy dresser, a smart-mouthed card player and an awesome dancer. In fact, when he was younger people paid him to dance for them. He was
also an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Even though, he had a certain air to his tone when he spoke, he had a good heart and was a giving person. If he had it, he was willing to share with others.
One of his greatest accomplishment was he asked God to forgive him and to come into his heart and allow him to go to Heaven like the thief did on the cross.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: His fiancée, Ms. Julia Smith, five sons, Mr. Shawn Smith, Mr. Willie Smith (Sasha) of Chesapeake, VA, and Mr. Demonta Boone and Mr. Corey Smith, (Vermonica) of Portsmouth, VA, and Mr. Damarcus Smith of Hampton, VA. His six sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Daughtry of Portsmouth, VA, Mrs. Mary Tucker, (Vincent), Mrs. Lillian
Lawrimore, and Kim Arnold of Chesapeake, VA, Mrs. Starr Peele, (Rupent), and Brittany Arnold of Memphis, TN, six brothers, Mr. William Arnold of Ellen Ward, GA, Mr. Leslie Arnold, Sr., Mr. Mark Arnold, Mr. Antonio Arnold, (Keisha), Mr. Donald Alexander (Cheryl), of Chesapeake, VA, and Mr. Ronald Alexander (Theresa) of Suffolk, VA, Twenty grandchildren, aunts, uncles and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
