William T. Brown, Sr., 76, passed away on March 23, 2022, at his home in Portsmouth, VA. William was born March 28, 1945, to the late Elmer and Annie Brown.
He attended Norcom High School and entered the United States Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged, William began working at Miracle Chemicals in Portsmouth. He was also employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Pipefitter and retired after 30 years of employment. He was the owner of Ace Home Improvement.
William was married to the late Joyce Brown on February 17, 1966, and to this union three children were born-William Jr., Erika and Christie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, and his two brothers-Elmer and George.
William leaves to cherish his memory his children-William T. Brown, Jr. of Portsmouth, VA; Erika L. Muhammad (Ricky) of Columbia, GA, and Christie G. Brown of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, two brothers-Robert Brown of Chesapeake, VA and Calvin Brown of Jacksonville, FL; one sister-Shirley Oliver of Richmond, VA; his ex-wife, Brenda McCrae; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
