Our mission is to serve the families that place their trust in us by meeting and exceeding their expectations during a very difficult time in life, allowing the family to work through the grief process and begin the necessary healing.

Virgie Antoinette Bishop, daughter of the late Clarence and Martha Brown was born on July 9, 1933, in Portsmouth, VA on London Street. On Sunday, May 29, 2022, she departed this life peacefully at her home. There she stepped across the threshold that we call death, but it was only a step into another room. Virgie confessed Jesus as her Lord and Savior and is now abiding with Him forever.
She attended Our Lady of Victory High School. Virgie retired from Verizon as an Engineer Supervisor. She was a faithful member of Saint Paul Catholic Church for many years until health challenges aroused. She also loved to cook, talking on the telephone, travelling and completing crossword puzzles. She will be sorely missed by her family, and friends.
Preceded in death by her father Clarence Brown, mother Martha Brown, sister Faustine Brown, brothers Milton and Lemuel Brown, and two sisters-in-law: Alice and Jeanette.
The memories of her life shall be cherished by her devoted brother Alton F. Brown of Severn MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
