Early Sunday morning, May 10, 2020 the Lord called Tommie Fox Jr. effectively known as (Fox) home to rest.

Fox was born in Columbus, MS on September 30, 1930, to Grace Wallace and Tommie Fox Sr. His mother mover her family to Virginia when he was 11 years old.  He was a former member of First Baptist Taylorsville. Fox attended Union Academy High School. In 1952, he joined the United States Army, while in the Army he received several medals including the Purple Heart.  After being honorably discharged from the Army, Fox worked several construction jobs, including working for RG Moore Building for over 20 years. He continued to scrap metal until his health failed.   

Fox was predeceased by his wife; Bettie J. Fox, his parents; Tommie Fox Sr. and Grace Fox, his sister; Catherine Banks, his brothers; William McKentry and Marcellous Fox and his son; Charles Grant.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son; Wayne Grant, his daughters; Janice Summerhill, Valerie Thomas, Gaye Geering, Shannon Williams, Tameka Fox and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
