On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, Stella M. Waddler Riddick departed this life. Stella was born on February 7, 1952 in Portsmouth, Virginia where she attended Portsmouth Public Schools. Stella leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Carlton Waddler and Gerald Riddick and daughter in law, Monik; one grandson, five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, John Waddler and Willie Waddler; two sisters, Catherine Hudson and Clara Carrasquillo, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Estelle Waddler and two sisters, Hilda Waddler and Brenda Gore.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 12 Noon to 8 pm at Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will also receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, 12 Noon at First Baptist Elm Avenue, 1025 Elm Avenue, Portsmouth, VA 23704. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23320.
