Phillip Antrone Jones was born in Frankfurt, Germany on September 7, 1981. He was the son of the late Gustavia Jones Jr. and Diane Thomas of Albany, Georgia.
Phillip was a devoted father, and he loved his family. Phillip married Barbara Jenkins in 2004. They have three children, Gracie, Phillip, and Micah. He enjoyed studying genealogy, traveling, and learning about other cultures. He graduated Dougherty Comprehensive High School class of 2000 in Albany, Ga. Afterwards, he received an associate degree at Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He later served 12 years in the U.S. Navy as an Operation Specialist. His years in the military caused him to relocate his family to Virginia. After his years at sea and abroad, he returned to Virginia to receive a bachelor’s degree from Centura College in Business Administration, Class of 2017. At the time of his death, he was working at Mitsubishi Alpolic and attending Southern New Hampshire University online.
Our family would like to extend our deepest appreciation for all the kindness and love that has been shown towards us at this time. Thank you so much for all your kind words, thought, prayers, and condolences. We know Phillip had many family members, friends, and people that cared about him. May God continue to bless you and comfort you.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on September 4, 2021 in Virginia.
