Pauline Carraway transitioned from this life on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia.
Pauline Carraway was born in Halifax County, NC, on November 5, 1938, to the late Randolph G. Sr. and Lessie Mae Clark. Pauline Carraway was married to the late Eddie R. Carraway. She resided in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia.
She enjoyed being with her friends for fun and games and listening to the oldies but goodies music. She loved gatherings for cookouts, eating food and crabs.
She was preceded in death by her parents Randolph and Lessie Mae Clark; husband Eddie Caraway; two sons-Bishop Robert Carraway and Ronald Carraway; a brother-Randolph G. Clark, Jr., and two deceased grandchildren-Terrence Powell and Ya’Sheym Carraway.
She leaves to cherish her memories a son-Elder William R. Carraway (Florence) of Portsmouth, VA; daughter-Mary L. Smith (Andrew, Sr.) of Portsmouth, VA; 11 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Pastor Sonja Carraway and one sister-in-law, Elosie Rodgers all from Portsmouth; and a host of relatives, cousins and friends.
