Nathan Lemuel Foster, Sr., 65, transitioned from this earth early Sunday morning on October 9, 2022, with his wife of 43 years by his side at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Nathan was
born October 29, 1956, in Suffolk, VA to the late Daisy and Howard Foster. He was preceded in death by his brother Howard Eugene Foster.
He was a graduate of John Yeates High School and received an associate degree in air conditioning refrigeration from Tidewater Community College.
Nathan accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church located in Hobson, VA. during his childhood. He later became a member of Fullness of the Spirit Ministries located now in Chesapeake, VA. He was ordained an Elder under the leadership of the late Apostle Georges. He later served under the leadership of Pastor Christoper and First Lady Dionne Georges. As Elder he served as a Sunday School teacher, trustee, and he held many other positions and was the lead over several ministries. Elder Nathan Foster also received a bachelor’s degree in ministry from Logos Christian College. During his last days he attended Hosanna Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Kelvin and Co-Pastor Lateshia Johnson.
He worked at Newport News Shipyard, Airplane Corporation, Supermarket Services during his career. His final destination was Norfolk Naval Shipyard where he received many awards for
outstanding service. He retired from NNSY on June 30, 2022. He served as a Marine in the United States of America Service and was stationed at Camp Lejeune from 1976 until 1979.
Nathan was a friend to all who knew and loved him. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elderess Diane, children of whom he was so proud of, First Lady Dionne (Pastor Christopher) Georges, Nurse Natalie Foster, Teacher Nicole Foster, Medical technician/ Future Pharmacist Dominique

Grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Mya, Jonathan, & Tia Georges, Aaron, Andrew and Ava Anderson, Stanley Edmonds, Jr., and Lennox Barkley, and special granddaughter Trezjhor Holley.
Sisters: Iris (Douglas)Wilson, Patricia Mayo, Sister-in-law Marie Jones, sister Nancy (John) Thrower, Doris Jordan, and Ann (Hollis)Boone
Brothers: Stanley (Veronica) Holland, Anthony Foster, Brother in laws Melvin (Paula) Boone, Ollie Boone, Jr, Brother Timothy Holland and Eduardo (Rhonda) Holland.
Special Children: Joseph (Lorriane) Johnson, III, who later became more like a brother, Xenia Cornick, Sidney Cornick, Virgilla Curmon, Corey Ricks, James (Eva) Williams, Pastor Kelvin and Co-Pastor Lateisha Johnson.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
