On Friday, April 21, 2017, our loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Moses Elijah Williams was called home to his eternal.  He was born on June 1, 1959 to the late Jack G. Williams, Sr. and Ethel Mae Smith Williams.  Moses was educated in the Portsmouth Public School system and was baptized at an early age at Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, Virginia.

Moses loved people.  He loved to work and spend time with family and friends.  Moses worked for Vico Inc., and later went on to work for himself.

He was predeceased by his six brothers: Jacob, Joseph, Roy, Jack Jr., Freddie, and Sherman Williams; two sisters, Mildred Williams Green and Bernice Williams Mumford.

Moses was the youngest of fourteen children.  He is survived by two brothers, James Floyd Williams (Ann) of Philadelphia, PA and Johnnie Williams of Portsmouth, VA; three sisters, Nancy Williams Hall (John) of Philadelphia, PA, Rosa Williams Eure (caregiver) and Betty Williams Parker (William) both of Portsmouth, VA; two children, Moses Williams Jr. and Ebony Williams; ex-wife, Pamela James, seven grandchildren; aunt, Inez Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, Robin Taylor, Margret Cory, Kelly Smith, Gail Lightfoot and Boone.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 30th from 2 pm to 5 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, 12 Noon at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
