Marguerite Chambers Morse, 97, of Portsmouth , Virginia departed
this life Friday, March 8, 2024, at her home with her beloved son,
Broderick by her side. Born December 8, 1926 in Rocky Mount,
North Carolina to the late Thomas Chambers, Jr and Lillie Mae
Boddie Chambers.
She was a member of St Mark Missionary Baptist Church, where
she served on the usher board and remained a member until her death.
Marguerite served in the United States Army, and later
married Tommy Morse, who preceded her in death.
Marguerite and Tommy had two children,
a daughter Jacquelyn,
who preceded her in death and a son, Broderick
of Dover, New Hampshire.
Marguerite was a woman of strength and independence.
Left to cherish her fond memories are
her devoted and loving son, Broderick Morse,
a niece, Joan Roundtree of Portsmouth, Virginia,
nephews Glenn, Radcliff of Richmond, Virginia, Chester Chambers of Texas,
Christopher Chambers of Texas,
three very devoted friends, Alvis Butler of Portsmouth, Virginia,
Mary Jackson of Richmond, Virginia and Janet Tucker
of Hampton, Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends.
