Lenford “Len” J. Celestine was born May 8, 1947, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On Friday, February 25, 2022, he transitioned from this earthly tabernacle and entered eternal rest.
Len retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. He loved the outdoors, especially working in his yard and cooking on the grill. Len also enjoyed watching the news and sports. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.
Of his many accomplishments, Len was most proud of his role as a father and grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Margie Celestine.
Len leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Imogene; two daughters-Lisa and LaDonna Celestine; one granddaughter, Kaylin Celestine aka “Mac”; an adopted son, Glen Coleman; one grand-dog, Dash; two sisters-Linda Mapp and Patricia Valsin; one brother, Ronny Celestine (Shirley); three sisters-in-law-Evon Jones, Luvonie Harrell (Floyd, Sr.), and Shirley McCullough; one brother-in-law, Ronald Monk (Betty); a special aunt, Aunt Eltra Trahan; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, and friends.
