Lee was a general laborer for a warehouse and did cosmetology on the side, doing hair and nails until she began her career as an Electrician for the Long Beach Shipyard in 1985. After it closed down, she was relocated to Bangor Puget Sound Naval Base from which she retired in 1999 as a Master Electrician.

During this time, she met and married Jeff Hill. They became Foster parents in 2001 welcoming several children into their home and hearts and eventually adopted 3 foster sons, Anthony Hill, Erik Hill, and Manuel Hill.

Lee believed “a little bit of sugar made everything taste better and a little pop of color made everything look better”.   She loved to cook and loved her high heels even more. She had an eye for fashion and loved pretty things. She loved talking to people and people loved talking to her. She would always give you an honest opinion, at times whether you wanted it or not.  Lee believed presentation was important and she hated being late.
