“I am not truly gone, if you keep me in your heart. I’ll forever be alive, and we’ll never have to part.” – Kelly Roper
Langston Dubois Sykes passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 5:12am. He died at the age of 62 years old. He died peacefully at his place of residence. Langston was born May 11, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the husband of Janet Sykes, and they shared 16 years together. He was the son of the late Robert and Margret Sykes; he had two brothers that preceded him in death (Rufus and Richard Sykes).
He enjoyed music and loved being a DJ. He loved to help people and was the type to give you the shirt off his back. He loved being around his family and being a comedian cracking jokes. He was a jack of all trades.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife (Janet Sykes), a son (Langston Jr Sykes), four stepchildren, ten grandchildren, two brothers (Robert and Lloyd Sykes), a sister (Raeshon Falkowski), three brother in-laws, four sister in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.
