Kenneth A. McKoy (Kenny) of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on March 9, 2022. He was born on March 16,1964, to the late Evangeline Gambrell and Robert McKoy. Kenny worked for UPS for over 30 years. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from Norfolk State University, became a Master Electrician, and started his own business, McKoy Electrical. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and sitting on the deck listening to music in his chaise lounge (with his daughters nearby).

 

Kenny leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rochelle Graves McKoy; daughters-Kendall and Arnell McKoy; sister-Victoria McKoy; brothers-Brian Mckoy (Hiwot “Lovey”) and Columbus Gambrell, Jr.; sister-in-laws-Angelique Graves, and Linda McKoy; nephews-Joshua McKoy (A-Darn), Courtney McKoy and Tyler McKoy; niece-Cynithia Graves; great nephew- Ja’Den McKoy; great nieces-Amonnie McKoy, Azaria McKoy, and Kori Sanaa Graves; cousins-Kaleta Sessoms Lassiter, Junious Sessoms, and Raffael Shepard; his favorite cousin-in-law-Mimi Terry, loving relatives, friends, and mentors.

 

Kenny was predeceased by his mother, Evangeline Gambrell, his father Robert McKoy, and his stepfather Columbus Gambrell Sr.

 

Kenny was a great man. He had an easy spirit and generous heart. He loved his family and cherished his friendships. If you heard him say, “Good Deal,” then you knew it was all good!

 

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, expressions of love, and support. We really appreciate all of you!
