Joyce Melissa Winston went Home to be with the GOD the Father on May 20, 2020, at the age of 78. She was born on June 27, 1941 to George and Elizabeth Dempsey in Portsmouth, Virginia. As a child she excelled through school and as an adult. She graduated from College with her Associate’s Degree in Business Management.  

Joyce met McCoy Winston and married on November 20, 1974. He worked as a Mailman and she worked in Nursing until she retired. 

Joyce Winston is survived by her (7) Seven Children: Javette Michelle Uggiano, Gregory Marquise Swinney, Nadine Lacretia Lewis, Jyvousky Doreen Swinney, April Germaine Swinney, Cheryl Towanda Winston, Tannia Monique Winston, and Proceeded by Stacy Anita Winston. She is also survived by her 135 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Joyce was saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost and loved being a member of her church. She loved singing in the choir, helping the church, and helping others. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, writing books and songs.
