Joseph was born June 9, 1958, and preceded by death to Joseph and Betty Wright in Portsmouth, VA. He was raised in Virginia and Philadelphia during his childhood. He graduated from Manor High School in 1976 and joined The United States Marine Corps. He worked various jobs at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. We called him “Bob the Builder” …. He can fix anything with a rubber band, a shoestring, and a paper clip.
Joey is survived by two sisters: LaDonna Wright-Turner (Orlando) and Angela Stevenson (Pete). Six Children: DeAngela, Brandon, Joshua, Ashley, La’Nese, and Kenya Wright. Ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one niece, one nephew, and a host of extended family and friends.
