Joann Michelle Hall, 64, of Portsmouth, Virginia, was born to loving parents John Copeland and Cherry Delsina Hall-Grant on September 24, 1958. Joann entered eternal life on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

Joann was predeceased by her parents, sisters: Diann Giles, Melody Ward, Andrea Hall, and Belinda Avery, and Brother: John Copeland, Jr. Joann is survived by her stepmother: Barbara Copeland, brothers: Keef and Carlton Grant, Larry and Anthony Copeland; and sisters: Roberta Hall, Veronica and Kim Grant and Joylynn Copeland. Also, her loving children: Juwanga, Lakeisha, Tony, Maria, and Syretta Hall, and her twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joann was a loving individual and was always surrounded by her siblings, grand and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Joann enjoyed life and people and loved to laugh. She especially enjoyed laughing with her granddaughter Vonnie, who kept her participating in some videos, leaving us with many memories for years to come.

Joann’s smile told her story, and we are thankful for the time God blessed us to be with her. Because of the person she was, the life she led, and all the love and laughter she instilled in our hearts and the hearts of others, she will be greatly missed among her family and friends.

Joann’s passing leaves a big void in the family’s hearts, but her soul is NOW AT REST.
