Jerry W. Riddick, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born May 29, 1929 to the late Annie Riddick and Bennie Riddick. He attended schools in Ahoskie, NC.
Jerry retired from the City of Chesapeake after 22 years of service and was also employed with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for over 20 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Hattie Mae Riddick. Jerry leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters Karen Jones of Chesapeake, Mildred Wallace (Herman) of Chesapeake, Felicia Riddick of Portsmouth; one son Clarence Hunt (Ramona) of Portsmouth; one sister Bernice Riddick of New York; five nephews of Ahoskie, NC; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 12 Noon to 8 pm at Corprew Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, 11 am at Prince of Peace Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1543 Summit Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23704. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23320.
