On Monday, February 1, 2021, Jeannine “Gina” Solomon was called home to be with the Lord.  She was born, to Robert and Dorothy Solomon, on May 19, 1974.  A native of Portsmouth, VA, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and later pursued a career in property management.  She was a loyal and dedicated property manager, for over 19 years, at United Property Associates, where she dedicated over 16 years with Second Oakmont Townhomes.

To know Gina was to love her. Her spirit and energy would light up any room she entered, and her smile was pure joy for anyone who was blessed to see it. She loved her family and created special bonds with her nieces and nephews; each in their own way:  Dominic, Brian, Brittani, and Kevion were all Gina’s babies before she had kids. Gina loved to travel and spend time with family and friends, especially her grandkids.  She loved the holidays when the family would gather together for dinners, games, and music. Gina was already an Angel; she just now earned her wings.

Gina is pre-deceased by her father, Robert Solomon. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Dorothy Weston-Jones (Leroy), three sons: Eric (Ty) Jones, Christopher (Malik) Hutchinson, Tyshion (T.J.) Lewis, a special niece/daughter: Brittani Oliver, two bonus daughters: Kristen Royal, TaQuandria Boykins (Walter), fiancé Alfred Lewis, five grandchildren (the loves of her life) Harmonie, Melanie, Eric Jr, Brooklyn, and Emir. Five sisters: Anne Solomon-Fields (Horace), Benita Solomon-Small, Iwanda Oliver (Samuel), Marietta Solomon, Qiana Kirkman (John) one brother, Anthony Rumble, and ex-husband/still awesome friend, Christopher Hutchinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
