On July 8 th , 2023, Jacqueline (Jackie) Michelle Bynum gained her heavenly wings. Jackie was
born September 06, 1971 to Betty B. Bynum and Steve A. Bynum Sr. in Norfolk, VA. Jackie
graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, VA. Then she went on to graduate
from Virginia State University with a B.A. in Business, and later received a Masters of Education
from Norfolk State University.
Jackie became an Eastern Star in September 2004 under Lady Miriam #23 in Smithfield, VA.
She is currently a member of Bethlehem #10 of Smithfield where she is our current Treasurer.
She held positions such as Secretary, Treasurer, and Worthy Matron. Jackie was in charge our
Back-to-School Drive because she had a passion for giving to kids.
Jackie Bynum was predeceased in death by her father Steve A. Bynum Sr, her mother Betty B.
Bynum and her sister Gwenona L. Bynum. She leaves to cherish her memories, her brother
Steve A. Bynum Jr (Ebony) , nephew Vershawn Bynum, niece La’Shel Bynum and her special
loving and caring friend Terry Townes.
Jackie was loving, kind strong and beautiful woman that loved the Lord and her family. She will
be missed and loved forever by the people she has touched.
