On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Irene W. Williams who we called “Tootsie” was called to her eternal resting place. Irene was born March 26, 1932 to the late Mr. Samuel Walden and Esther Walden. Irene was a wonderful housewife and a beautiful mother to everyone who came to her house. She attended school in Garysburg, NC. She was also a faithful mother of True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is predeceased by husband, Author Williams; son, Walter David Dunn; five sisters: Ethel Pearl Dunn, Annie Mason, Lillie Mae Hughes, Mida Rainey, and Negolia Vincent; and two brothers: George Walden and Samuel Walden.
She is survived by One Son Frankie L. Dunn (Brenda Dunn) of Portsmouth, VA; two grandsons: Frankie L. Dunn, Jr. (Alicia Dunn) and Stratton Mosley; two bonus grandchildren: C. Michelle Blackwell (Derick Blackwell) and Dr. Liquita James (Timothy James, Sr.); 5 bonus great grandchildren: Wallace Vann (Hannah Vann), Dontez Vann, Donald E. Newsome, Jr., Timothy James, Jr., and Aaliyah James; two great, great grandchildren: Davian Vann and Kingston Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
