Inez Smith

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

 

 

On the evening of October 31, 2019, GOD whispered to Inez and said, “It’s time to come home,  your mansion is ready. You have fought a good fight , finished your course, and kept the faith.”

 

Inez was born, May 21, 1921 to the late Wesley and Mary Coston. She was educated in the Portsmouth Public Schools System. In the year of 1939, she met the love of her life, Charlie Smith. They were married in 1941, and to this union they had nine children.

 

She was a faithful member of Grove Church for many years. As a member, she served on the Nurses, and Usher Ministries.

 

She was a former employee of Mayfair House as a Nursing Assistant, and also worked as a private duty nurse.

 

She was preceded in death by her late husband Charlie Smith. She leaves to cherish fond memories, her brothers, Charles Coston (Brenda), Frank Coston (Hilda), and Willie Coston; sisters, Lois Ramsey, Sadie Robinson, and Patricia Coston; daughters, Renee Daniels, Carlette Smith, Linda Patillo (Cardell), Janice Smith, and Jeanette Butts,(Mike); sons, Charlie Smith Jr., Curtis Smith, Joseph Smith, and George Smith (Deborah); 27 grandchildren, a host of great and 

great -great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving friend
