Howard A. Hill, Jr., a native of Portsmouth, VA was born February 12, 1947 to the late Corine M. Hill and Howard A. Hill, Sr. Howard a 1965 graduate of I.C. Norcom, attended Norfolk State College and was a retiree of Norfolk Naval Supply Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Y. Hill; daughter, Syrina A. Hill; sons, James A. Smith, Tony Hardie, Derrick Harper; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roy C. Hill, Sr. (Margaret), Rev. Ray A. Hill (Rose), Larry B. Hill (Tina), Danny Hill (Phyllis); two sisters, Eula J. Colbert (Reginald), Irene Griffin (William); brother-in-law, Charlie White; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Pauline White.
Viewing will be 12 Noon on Wednesday at Corprew Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8. A celebration of life will be on Thursday, May 5, 2016, 1 pm at New Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1000 County St., Portsmouth, VA. Senior Pastor, Rev. Milton R. Blount officiating.
